Thornton Township Democrats endorse Cheryle Jackson for U. S. Senate

The Thornton Township Regular Democratic Organization and Thornton Democratic Committeeman Frank Zuccarelli have endorsed Cheryle Jackson for U. S. Senate in the Illinois Primary Election on February 2, 2010.

Thornton Township is traditionally one of the strongest in Cook County when it comes to voter turnout. Thornton voters cast 41,000 ballots in the 2008 Primary Election.

Thornton is the largest township in Illinois with 185,000 residents. Thornton Township covers all or part of 17 communities: Burnham, Calumet City, Dixmoor, Dolton, East Hazel Crest, Phoenix, South Holland, Thornton, Blue Island, Glenwood, Harvey, Hazel Crest, Homewood, Lansing, Markham, Posen and Riverdale.
