More special privileges for bankers

Bankers were at the head of the line when they made billions at the expense of homeowners, investors and consumers, when they paid themselves hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars in bonuses, and when they got hundreds of billions in taxpayer bailouts.

Now the news that they have jumped the line in front of pregnant women, infants, and other high-risk patients who have been waiting for the HINI – Swine Flu – vaccine. Goldman Sachs and Citi Group have received 1400 doses, while people wait in long lines for a chance to get the vaccine. Hospitals, clinics and pediatricians have been complaining of the shortage of the vaccine they desperately need to treat patients, and they are outraged. So are patients.  

It’s time to change our nation’s priorities from taking care of those who have already have everything to focus on people who need health care, jobs and education.

Bankers’ greed brought on our economic crisis, and has continued as they gobble up billions in Taxpayer dollars. But jumping in front of women and infants whose health may depend on getting vaccinated takes that greed to a new and despicable level.
